Crown In Your Church

Crown Financial Ministries was introduced to the Roman Catholic Community in
1987. St. Margaret Mary Parish/Diocese of Orlando approved the small group study,
after considerable scrutiny, as an educational tool for faith formation.
Since 1987 many clergy have examined the non-denominational Crown Financial
Ministries materials and found them theologically appropriate for use by Catholics. At
this time, about 40 parishes in the Orlando Diocese have experienced the Crown
resources to some degree. In addition, about 35 Dioceses in the US have participating
parishes.

In June, 2007, the Catholic Supplement to the Biblical Financial Study of Crown
Financial Ministries received an Imprimatur from His Excellency, Bishop Thomas
Wenski, Bishop of Orlando. The Supplement compliments the existing material, chapter
topic by chapter topic. The Catholic Supplement has been translated into Spanish and
Bishop Wenski granted this document an Imprimatur in December, 2008. Currently the
Catholic Supplement is being translated into several other languages for use in
countries throughout the world. These documents will be placed on the website
pending approvals from the appropriate Church organizations.

The Catholic Initiative works with the local Crown Area Directors to provide resources
and assistance in beginning Crown programs in local parishes.

Meeting The Needs of Your Church

Finances touch every life. In each parish there are people who are in financial bondage
who need to learn how to establish and live on a spending plan, apply a debt elimination
plan, and learn about biblical stewardship. Others need to learn more about managing
the blessings that God has supplied and how to use their talents to serve others.

Crown has designed a comprehensive program to equip people of all ages to handle
money God's way. Using seminars, small group studies, video series and one to one
budget counseling, there is a learning experience to accommodate individual
preferences and teaching methods. Crown offers outstanding studies for children from
age 5 to college and from young adult needs to retirees. Specific programs offer help for
target groups as in single parents or the newly married.

The strong biblical foundation for all Crown's materials is the basis for the effectiveness
of the program. For well over 2 decades these biblical financial principles have proven
to be life changing for all those who put them into practice. The addition of the Catholic
Supplement provides Church teaching from the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the
US Catechism for Adults and the Bishop's Pastoral Letters - Stewardship: A Disciple's
Response. The Catholic Supplement is used alongside the Crown materials. The
Crown Biblical Financial Study along with the Practical Application workbook and theCatholic Supplement provide the student with a unique learning and transformational
